Massaggiatore facciale in legno e altri preferiti di Cose della Natura / Wooden face roller and other favorite beauty tools by Cose della Natura

[ora immaginate Under my Skin di Frank Sinatra che risuona...]

A special occasion is the best time to talk about special products! One of my favorite brands ever, Cose della Natura, and I decided to organize a special offer with a discount to give you the chance to try their products (and one in particular...), which I have loved for more than five years now.

This article is a guide to my favorites by the brand so that during this offer* you can have an idea of which other beauty tools could be perfect for you. I would need much more space to tell you about each of the products featured here but I will try and tell you every important detail about them.

*[the offer will last until midnight of the 24th November 2019: by adding the face roller to your cart and using the code ROLLER15 at checkout, you will get a 15 % off the roller and all other beauty accessories you will add to your cart]

Let's begin with the unparalled protagonist, since the offer was created for it: the wooden fare roller
I got to know this wonderful tool more or less one year ago, when I placed an order on che Cose della Natura website and Jo, the sales representative of the brand, added it to my parcel to let me try it. I had been fascinated by beauty tools and massagers but I had never tried one until then (except a jade roller, which I had not enjoyed).

The first time I used the face roller I was astonished: I could not imagine that the results would be immediate! I tried it one evening, after applying a face oil I had been using for a while, and I used it following the same movements I do when massaging my face with my fingers, see pic below. On the next day my skin was perceivably more radiant, glowy, as if I had used an exfoliating mask or a special treatment! That's why I always use the roller when I need an extra kick for my skin: it will make lackluster and sad skin happy again.

I also noticed that using it regularly definetely makes an even bigger difference: lines and wrinkles are less visible and skin looks helathier in general. I often match it with another beauty tool I've been enjoying: the gua sha (head to my Instagram grid to fin a promo going on with that too)! They both give skin that extra we all need but in a different way.
The roller is also perfect to massage your neck and nape, it helps release tension.

This tool is definetely not high-maintenance: once a week I wash it with some water and mild soap and dry it with a cloth before storing in a sachet again.

My everlasting love then goes to another of Cose della Natura's most popular accessories: the sea sponge
My choice has always been the fine silk one (I prefer the unbleched one because it's slightly more exfoliant and my skin enjoys it - but if your skin is more sensitive you can choose the bleached version, which is bleached with hydrogen peroxide, biodegradable and not dangerous on skin because it does not stay on the material being released at every use).

I have been using fine silk sea sponges by Cose della Natura (I have tried some by other brands but they simply won't live up to Cose della Natura, it's hard fact) for five years now and I could never live without them: they're the ultimate companion for makeup/face mask removal, they're beneficial for skin (they release iodine, a skin panacea - I guess you already know it: just think of a vacation by the sea...), they're never harsh, they're hygienic (sea sponges won't ever create mold or bacteria), they last a long time (so they're eco-friendly too, also becuase they will biodegrade).

Important fact: sea sponges are NOT animals. Technically they are categorized in the animal kingdom because they cannot be defined as plants, since they are not photosynthetic organisms, but don't have organs and more importantly they don't die when they're cut by fishermen who collect them: on the contrary they become stronger, they grow even better.

They're not high-maintenance either: you'll just have to rinse them well after use, with a mild soap if you used an oil-based makeup remover, and make them bathe in warm water and sodium bicarbonate every two months!

Loofah pads have been friends of mine for a long time too: I tried my first one when I found it in a Cose della Natura kit and haven't abandoned them since then. Loofah is a material obtained from a species of pumpkin (hence they're basically plants) and has exfoliating properties (it can be used both dry and after being soaked in water). I find loofah very gentle, thus not something I wouldn't recommend to sensitive skin, but always try it before using it for a whole routine. If it's too harsh for you, just leave it in warm water for longer and use some cleansing milk to massage it on your face. It helps  your skin to get rid of dead skin cells and toxins so your skin will look smoother and more glowy after using a loofah! Cose della Natura has many lovely types of loofahs but I prefer small pads: they're so handy!

They just need to be rinsed after used and possibly you can wash them with some mild soap once in a while.

Last but not least: the face brush
Pleasure and pain for many people. Everybody is attracted by a face brush because it conveys the idea of clean skin, I guess. But not everybody will enjoy it apparently! I've heard people with mixed feelings or even a bad opinion about the Cose della Natura face brush (which can be used both dry and wet) but I fear that in most cases it's a matter of impoper use rather then an incompatibility with skin.

What is sure is that very sensitive and reactive skin types will find it difficult to use (well, that's true for any exfoliator in this case): these people should not risk bad reactions (with a face brush and with anything else really) and they should look for medical advice, if they want to exfoliate their skin.

But people with normal or reactive skin (like mine) should not fear the face brush Cose della Natura: the use of this brush made of wood and bioplastic (plastic obtained from vegetal material) just needs a few simple rules to become one of the best cosmetic experiences ever!

- never press too much on skin (fingers can harm too is they're used with too much energy)
- never use the brush after scrubbing or exfoliating skin
- never use it when your skin has had a bad day (wind, very cold temperatures, flare-ups due any reason)
- use it with lukewarm water and a soft cleanser (gels, milks, foams)
- preferably use it in the evening (skin is able to regenerate at night, while during the day it has to defend us against environmental stressors)
- massage it gently with circular motions for no more than five minutes (it's more than enough, believe me)
- always use a toner and a moisturizer/oil after using it
- listen to your skin: if you brush too hard or too often, your skin will tell you!
- don't take redness as a necessarily bad reaction - try to think of it as a symptom that something is working under your skin
[now imagine Under my Skin by Frank Sinatra playing...]

That's all for today! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a message or to comment. If you missed this article when the promo was on, believe me: all of these accessories are worth their full price and you won't be disappointed!
